Villa Elevator with Frame Shaft
A home elevator that brings its own shaft in the form of a load-bearing steel frame. No masonry shaft is needed, and the demands on headroom and pit stay low.
The frame is glazed all round and carries the installation itself. Drive is by a gearless permanent magnet synchronous machine; the catalogue names a German composite steel belt as the traction medium. The backpack frame has been reworked so that the guide rollers are not loaded on one side.
If the power fails, the car travels to the next landing. The doors can be opened by hand. A wireless intercom is available on request.
