A hand strap holds the unit to the hand, and the probe is fixed to it. Backfat can be measured quickly, and points in the image can be marked.

Sixteen pseudo-colour renderings are available and 256 frames can be played back. Display modes are B, M, BM, B+B and 4B. Testing has been done on eight animal species, and the language can be adapted.
